Belper Central Methodist Church
The Chapel is located on Chapel Street (the A6) in the middle of Belper, opposite the Bus Station.
BELPER is an historic industrial town situated in Derbyshire, eight miles north of Derby on the A6 trunk road to Buxton and Manchester. It is situated in the World Heritage Corridor based on the Derwent Valley.
There has been a Wesleyan chapel in the town since 1782 and the current fine Georgian building was opened in 1807. This website continues the tradition of over 200 years Christian witness in Belper. It tells you about the regular services that we hold on a Sunday, who to contact if you seek information or help, there is a diary of what is happening through the weeks and months and a list of youth activities and social meetings taking place in the school hall.
There is a page devoted to a short account of the history of the chapel on this website - CLICK HERE.
